Beijing architect lives in egg-shaped house on sidewalk.

Dai Haifei, a 24-year-old architect in Beijing, China, found an ingenious solution to live rent-free. He built himself a mobile egg-shaped house that is powered by the sun.


The 6-foot-high structure, which is small enough to fit on a sidewalk, is made of bamboo strips, wood chippings, sack bags, and grass seed that’s expected to grow in the spring.

The pod features a solar panel on the roof that powers a lamp in the cozy space. The house cost around $1,000 to build (6427 yen), according to China Daily.

It seems Haifei has taken the trend of living in tiny spaces to a whole new level.

Unbelievable video of Metrodome collapse from inside stadium

The Metrodome collapsed early Sunday morning after a blizzard dumped 17 inches of snow on Minneapolis. Because of the damage to the stadium, Monday's scheduled New York Giants-Minnesota Vikings game was moved to Detroit's Ford Field


Cameras were positioned inside the stadium and caught the collapse on tape. To call the video incredible would be an understatement. It looks like the beginning of Armageddon

The roof over the Metrodome is inflatable, not hard. It's the same sort of bubble you see over swimming pools or tennis courts in the winter, making this collapse almost like a deflated balloon imploding onto the field.




As a result, the damage is not thought to be severe enough to close the stadium for an extended period of time. It will, however, force the Vikings and Giants to play elsewhere on Monday night, continuing the odyssey of this game which began on Saturday when the Giants were stuck in Kansas City because of airport closures.


Heavy snows in Minnesota closed the Minneapolis airport, which left the Giants stranded in the midwest. The game between the Vikings and Giants, originally scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday had been moved to Monday night because of the delays. Now the teams will fly to Detroit to play at Ford Field, which will be available after the Lions host the Packers on Sunday. The Giants-Vikings game will kick off at 7:20 p.m. ET. Tickets will be free for anyone who wants to attend. Any ticket holders for the game in Minnesota will receive preferential seating at the 50-yard line if they can make the journey through the snow-ravaged Midwest.

Are Florida Everblades' Holiday Jersey Worst of 2010?

Taylor Announces His Next Movie

The Twilight series may be coming to an end soon, but it def won't be the last time we see our fave Twilight stars, especially Taylor Lautner! It's just been confirmed that Taylor's signed on to star in yet another flick, the science fiction thriller Incarceron, based on the book by Catherine Fisher. Tay will star as Finn, who's lived his whole life in Incarceron, a futuristic prison society. Finn meets the daughter of the warden, who is trapped in her own prison, a futuristic world that's been made to look like the 17th Century. She and Finn stumble upon each other by finding a crystal that lets them communicate, and together they try to hatch a plan to get Finn out of Incarceron.

Selena Gomez for Halloween

Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez at Notre Dame

BFFs Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez have visited Indiana to cheer on Notre Dame's football team on the Notre Dame football field in South Bend on Saturday afternoon, September 4. And the two beauties surely brought luck to the squad as they won against Purdue Boilermakers with a 23-12 score.

According to Chicago Breaking Sports, Taylor requested to sit with her brother Austin, who is a freshman at the school, in the student section. But Notre Dame officials knew better and allowed her to watch the game from the sideline with Selena, who is enrolled at nearby Northwestern University. Furthermore, OK! Magazine reported that following the game, Taylor invited Selena and Austin to a local restaurant. "She had dinner after the game in a corner booth with two bodyguards blocking off the table at Rocco's in South Bend, Indiana," an eyewitness told the site.


"Taylor, Selena and Taylor's brother were quickly escorted out between the two bodyguards to an awaiting car" once their meal was over, the eyewitness further shared. "One excited ND fan shouted, 'I love you Taylor.' And Taylor, as sweet and sincere as ever, turned around and said, 'Aw, thank you!' " However, the site mentioned that Selena and Austin were not as excited as Taylor about the crowd. The onlooker said, "Her brother looked embarrassed and Selena was smiling while trying to hide under her baseball hat and hurry out."

Jonas Brothers + 1

Camp Rock 2 coming out and everyone knows that all 4 of the JoBros are in it. But one thing that  bothers me is that little Frankie Jonas thinks he's all that just because he's brothers are all famous. I think that he needs to prove that he's just as good as his brothers in acting or music. I don't hate Frankie or the  Jonas Brothers but its annoying when fans only like a celebrity because of his looks. Breaking Dawn got a director! His name - Bill Condon. The movie will be out in theaters November 2011. It's most likely going to be in 2 parts. Hopefully, if your a Twi-hard then you'll be dying to see this movie.

Say goodbye to Disney

Of course some celebrities that are or will be on Disney Channel for a long time, aren't good enough to get off of the channel. Everyone who watches Disney knows that the second movie for Camp Rock is going to show. The only talented stars in the movie are those two black guys from Camp Rock and the other black guy from Camp Star. Everyone else like The Jonas Brothers and Demi  Lovato will probably be stuck with Disney. Have you noticed that none of the Jonas Brothers are never in movies or anything besides music? Thats because they think they are good actors but directors don't. Girls only watch their show and concerts because they think the Jonas brothers are hot. That's it. Nothing else.

John Wooden

Well the best coach ever, John Wooden, recently passed yesterday from his old age. He died at 99, a couple months away from 100 years. But he died a leader and a hero as he led UCLA to an amazing and unforgettable career. And the best record for any sport of all time. His death was tragic and he himself will be not be forgotten.

When I saw Dear John I've got to say that Amanda Seyfried (Savannah Curtis) and Channing Tatum (John Tyree) looked like a perfect couple. They looked very cute together. I love them! But I'm pretty sure Channing is married or has a girlfriend and I don't know about Amanda but she's really pretty.

Right from the Twilight auditions everyone knew that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were meant to be. And they did too. Recently while filming Eclipse, Rob was late since he missed his flight and showed up a day late after being out until all hours partying at a London strip joint.A source says, "She was really upset because she felt he was acting like a single guy." Rob calmed the 20-year-old down with a surprise that moved her to tears. A source says, "Rob told Kristen he wants to spend the rest of his life with her - period." "He's proposed they'll get married one day. He knows Kristen will make a perfect wife and can't imagine being with anyone else." RPattz used the "boys will be boys" defense and got off with a warning. "He made it very clear that he has zero interest in anyone besides her, and that he was just being a guy," the insider adds. For Rob's birthday (May 13), Kristen bought him an iPad. "He's a total technophobe but Kris is forever trying to get him on Skype and iChat so they can communicate when they were in different cities. He actually loved it. She also got him a acoustic guitar that's similar to one of Rob's favorite hero's guitars, John Lennon.

Dear John

How would I describe Dear John you may ask? 3 words. Heartbreaking. Funny. Action. This movie and book has a very strong relationship type of story. And in the middle end, the nice guy changes into something else. When I saw it I cried and for girls I'd think some of you may cry too. To me I kind of think it's better than the Twilight Saga New Moon by just a little bit. If you like action romance then you could settle for both of these. I did warn you... Watch the crying!

The first time you see the movie you'll cry a bunch for some of you but the second time you probably won't (maybe as much)

This is about a couple months old when Serena yelled and cussed everything in her throat to the chair ref at a tennis match. My little sister used to look up to Serena because she was practically her idol. Until that little event happened my sister just looks down on Serena. She thought Serena was a better player than Venus but now her idol is Venus Williams. One little call that Serena doesn't like and she swears her heart out. But to me and a LOT of others that was  not the best call we've heard.

Since I blog about celebrities and all that, I thought I could see what the stars are up to if I bought some magazines. Turned out I was right. An article about the lastest update on Justin had a picture of Justin and his friends hanging out at an awsome hotel. 3 of his friends carrying Justin around. All of them hats, Justin's type of hair, clothes, and the style when Justin has his jeans behind his shoe flap. They all looked like him! I have a thought on why they dress and look like Justin. Maybe to make fans think they're Justin and they'll ask for his autograph, until they see their faces.

When almost everyone heard Justin's first hit "One Time" they thought he was a girl. I'm not a hater or anything but I also thought so too. At the time he wasn't hitting puberty yet. Now he is. His mentors like Usher, are helping him with performing while having his voice crack. He says he doesn't want to hit puberty yet and if I was him I wouldn't either. It's hard to perform regularly while your voice is in the midst of getting deeper. But there are good things about puberty. He can grow taller than his celeb friends and he'll have a deep voice to be older.

After hard break ups with Selena, Taylor S., and some other popluar celebs, Taylor has stayed single a little too long. He's staying in the frindship zone with all of his recent GF's but he has no one else to date. Selena is in an on again off again relationship with Nick Jonas again. Swifty is over the split. Victoria Justice is just a friend. Kristen Stewart is taken. And Demi Lovato had no big feelings for Tay & she's with Joe now. The Taylor couple was the cutest couple ever says most fans. And to make it worst Taylor's celebrity crushes are taken also. He's in the friendship zone with Sara Hicks too. This is too sad. But any person that can catch Tay's attention could be his GF.

Not many but some people are wanting to know what shoes does Justin Bieber wear. I've been trying to get the answer and I came across a couple shoes that JB wore during a shoot or a concert or interview. The first shoes I found were the Supra Purple/Brown Vaider shoes that are not in stores yet. But since JB is a famous celebrity he got them early. Those are the most recent ones I've searched. I'm still looking out for other ones. Just one question. How many pairs of shoes does Justin Bieber have?!

Celebrities - Stay true to your old self

Once a celebrity is new to the fame and fortune they always get asked "What was your past like?" or something like that. Anyway, their answer, a little story about "Oh I didn't think this would happen" and "Oh I'm living the dream". Give it a break! Stop telling these types of pasts. Stay true to your old self, just like Taylor Lautner. He's got evidence. Proof. And even his old high school girlfriend. Not many celebrities still hang or keep in touch with their old school buds. Why don't you celebrities go out there and call up your class bud and hang out or what not. At least your staying true to yourself and your old friends. Never replace old close past friends for new popular celebrity BFF's. Maybe those shows with someone leaving their best friend for a popular group are true. You could prove your true to yourself by something like turning (nicely) down a celebrity BFF sleepover for a day hangout with your old boyfriend/girlfriend.

Give it break! What's the point of having "Hannah" perform concerts if people know that she's Miley? No reason. No excuse. Why did the Cavaliers Draft Shaq?

The Cleveland Cavaliers drafted Shaq for only one reason. They didn't have that many bigs so they drafted him to help the Cavs defeat the Orlando Magic and Dwight Howard. They only got Shaq to guard Dwight since he's like 7'0" tall. It's pretty reasonible.
