Will.i.am changes lyrics to send message to Obama

It wasn't quite a wardrobe malfunction, but Will.i.am had an off-script Super Bowl moment of his own during the Black Eyed Peas' performance on Sunday night. The singer delivered a message to President Obama by changing three lines to his band's hit "Where Is The Love?" during the 15-minute medley

As far as political protest subjects go, children's education and creating jobs aren't the most radical of topics, but I appreciate Will.i.am using America's biggest stage for a constructive purpose. Normally, stars treat their Super Bowl halftime appearance as an opportunity to promote themselves, or their albums.

As it turns out, there are far, far duller ways to pass the time at a half-time show than counting the wrinkles on classic rockers. Like counting the times in just the past few months we've seen the Black Eyed Peas on television doing pretty much this same schtick they did at the Super Bowl. If you want to make sure you have the least anticipated Bowl half-time in modern history, a sure bet is to book a group that would show up to play a supermarket ribbon-cutting. .


We all know why this happened. The Super Bowl's producers spent the last few years trying to avoid any chance of another wardrobe malfunction, after the Janet 'n' Justin fracas, resulting in a succession of post-50 superstars like Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, and the Who. But the Bowl honchos were apparently susceptible to the criticism that this made them appear old and out of touch. So when they reversed that trend and booked the Black Eyed Peas this year, it was clear they were out to court the youth audience and avoid age malfunction..

But there might not have been this uneventful a Bowl intermission since the Up With People era of no-name half-time shows. Come back, AARP-rockers... all is forgiven. .

What could the Peas possibly do that we hadn't already burned out on? Bring out the Tron dancers, as it turns out. If you felt like Tron Legacy missed a bet by not having Jeff Bridges lead a war platoon's worth of boogying hoofers at the climax, Super Bowl XLV made up for that missed opportunity..

Christina Aguilera goofs up the national anthem

Perhaps she was too concerned with breaking Patti LaBelle's record for turning single-syllable words into entire paragraphs during the singing of "The Star-Spangled Banner," but noted ex-teen queen Christina Aguilera botched the national anthem something fierce before the Super Bowl. Aguilera started out all right, but she had a problem with the ramparts -- specifically, the "O'er the ramparts we watched" line, which she left out altogether.


Aguilera tried to make up for it by combining two lines -- "What so proudly we watched," instead of "What so proudly we hailed", but let's just say that it was too late to reverse the error. Twitter blew up, and all Aguilera could do was to oversing every word from there on out, which she most certainly did.

Steelers wanted pass interference on final offensive play of game

Calm down, Steelers fans. It wasn't pass interference.

On what would end up being the final offensive play for the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV, Green Bay Packers cornerback Tramon Williams(notes) broke up a fourth-down pass from Ben Roethlisberer to Mike Wallace(notes). The incompletion gave Green Bay the ball with 49 seconds left and effectively ended the game. Both Wallace and Roethlisbeger lobbied officials for a flag that never came.
There was nothing on the play but solid defense by Williams. Roethlisberger had Wallace open in the middle of the field but delivered the ball a little high and a split-second too late. Williams came in and bodied the receiver but didn't make any contact that warranted a flag. The play was there to be made but the Steelers didn't execute.

Justin Bieber briefly hospitalized after allergic reaction

Justin Bieber was briefly hospitalized in Burbank, Calif. on Wednesday night after suffering an allergic reaction on the set of "CSI."

The pop star was wrapping up a day on the set, where he was reprising his role as troubled teen Jason McCann, when he experienced breathing problems and was taken to Providence St. Joseph's Hospital.

Beijing architect lives in egg-shaped house on sidewalk.

Dai Haifei, a 24-year-old architect in Beijing, China, found an ingenious solution to live rent-free. He built himself a mobile egg-shaped house that is powered by the sun.


The 6-foot-high structure, which is small enough to fit on a sidewalk, is made of bamboo strips, wood chippings, sack bags, and grass seed that’s expected to grow in the spring.

The pod features a solar panel on the roof that powers a lamp in the cozy space. The house cost around $1,000 to build (6427 yen), according to China Daily.

Unbelievable video of Metrodome collapse from inside stadium

The Metrodome collapsed early Sunday morning after a blizzard dumped 17 inches of snow on Minneapolis. Because of the damage to the stadium, Monday's scheduled New York Giants-Minnesota Vikings game was moved to Detroit's Ford Field


Cameras were positioned inside the stadium and caught the collapse on tape. To call the video incredible would be an understatement. It looks like the beginning of Armageddon

The roof over the Metrodome is inflatable, not hard. It's the same sort of bubble you see over swimming pools or tennis courts in the winter, making this collapse almost like a deflated balloon imploding onto the field.




As a result, the damage is not thought to be severe enough to close the stadium for an extended period of time. It will, however, force the Vikings and Giants to play elsewhere on Monday night, continuing the odyssey of this game which began on Saturday when the Giants were stuck in Kansas City because of airport closures.


Heavy snows in Minnesota closed the Minneapolis airport, which left the Giants stranded in the midwest. The game between the Vikings and Giants, originally scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday had been moved to Monday night because of the delays. Now the teams will fly to Detroit to play at Ford Field, which will be available after the Lions host the Packers on Sunday. The Giants-Vikings game will kick off at 7:20 p.m. ET. Taylor Announces His Next Movie

The Twilight series may be coming to an end soon, but it def won't be the last time we see our fave Twilight stars, especially Taylor Lautner! It's just been confirmed that Taylor's signed on to star in yet another flick, the science fiction thriller Incarceron, based on the book by Catherine Fisher. Tay will star as Finn, who's lived his whole life in Incarceron, a futuristic prison society. Finn meets the daughter of the warden, who is trapped in her own prison, a futuristic world that's been made to look like the 17th Century. She and Finn stumble upon each other by finding a crystal that lets them communicate, and together they try to hatch a plan to get Finn out of Incarceron.

Magazine reported that following the game, Taylor invited Selena and Austin to a local restaurant. "She had dinner after the game in a corner booth with two bodyguards blocking off the table at Rocco's in South Bend, Indiana," an eyewitness told the site.


"Taylor, Selena and Taylor's brother were quickly escorted out between the two bodyguards to an awaiting car" once their meal was over, the eyewitness further shared. "One excited ND fan shouted, 'I love you Taylor.' And Taylor, as sweet and sincere as ever, turned around and said, 'Aw, thank you!' " However, the site mentioned that Selena and Austin were not as excited as Taylor about the crowd. The onlooker said, "Her brother looked embarrassed and Selena was smiling while trying to hide under her baseball hat and hurry out."

Jonas Brothers + 1

Camp Rock 2 coming out and everyone knows that all 4 of the JoBros are in it. But one thing that  bothers me is that little Frankie Jonas thinks he's all that just because he's brothers are all famous. I think that he needs to prove that he's just as good as his brothers in acting or music. I don't hate Frankie or the  Jonas Brothers but its annoying when fans only like a celebrity because of his looks.
